About WQ Inspection & Certification

WQiC are UKAS accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020 as an Inspection Body and are also a BEIS RTPO for issuing permanent joining qualifications for Pressure Equipment. We also hold accreditation under ISO/IEC 17024 for the certification of persons. WQIC also hold UKAS Laboratory accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025 for a range of testing activities. Through our partnered organisation LRQA-CASL in Ireland, we can also offer PED compliant welding and other permanent joining qualifications. WQiC is fully ISO 9001 certified by BSI for the Witnessing, Testing & Certification of welding qualifications. We service both individuals and companies in the engineering and fabrication industry. WQiC's scope of ISO 9001 also includes Non Destructive Testing (NDT). This enables us to now offer Ultrasonic (UT), Dye Penetrant (DPI), Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Visual (VI ) testing & inspection services. We also offer a range mechanical testing activities. WQiC also perform thermal cutting testing in accordance with BS EN 1090-2. WQiC are full members of the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) we are also a partner in the CSCS Skilled Welder cards. WQiC offer the following services to the welding & fabrication industry across many sectors: - witnessing, testing & certification of welding qualifications - the preparation and issuing of welding procedure qualification records (WPQR's) - the preparation and issuing of welder and welding operator certification - on and off site NDT services All our examiners and technicians are certified in accordance with ISO 17024 / ISO 9712 - Qualification and Certification of welding inspection and NDT personnel.
