About Wu Yee Children's Services
Wu Yee Children's Services is where San Francisco's families with children 0-5 can go when they need to find child care, get access to public benefits, connect to their communities and more. We provide free child care to families eligible for Federal Early Head Start and Head Start, home-visiting services to expecting mothers, licensing support to home-based child care businesses and more. Every day we work to lift San Francisco's families and children out of poverty and to a better future. Founded in 1977 by newly immigrated parents, educators, and social workers concerned about the challenges faced by new immigrants in Chinatown, Wu Yee Children’s Services (Wu Yee) has grown to a citywide agency serving families of all cultural backgrounds throughout San Francisco. The phrase "wu yee" means "caring for children" in Cantonese, and children are at the heart of everything we do. Wu Yee's mission is to create opportunities for children to be healthy, for families to thrive and for communities to be strong. Wu Yee Children’s Services is actively looking for team members to join our growing team.
