Owner and founder, Philip Manghisi began his career at 19 years old, answering phones and manning the cash register at Jeffrey New York, New York’s leading designer retailer for two decades. After only a year on the sales floor, Philip joined the buying team, where he worked directly with founder Jeffrey Kalinsky and Vice President/General Merchandise Manager David Rubenstein. In that role, Philip helped to select all merchandise for both the New York and Atlanta locations. He traveled to Europe ten times per year and bought product from heritage luxury brands and cutting-edge independent luxury vendors. Philip moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and joined Elyse Walker, Southern California’s largest independent luxury retailer. He was the Senior Designer Buyer for over four years, where he was in charge of buying all women’s designer product, including clothing and accessories. In addition, he developed the men's assortment in both Towne by Elyse Walker stores. Philip brings more than a decade of experience and deep knowledge of specialty retail to WUNDERKIND. He combines refined taste, deep industry connections, and customer service expertise to create a new product for Scottsdale and Montecito: not just another department or chain store, but a true home base for the luxury consumers. WUNDERKIND offers a community-based environment both warm and inviting unlike anything the market has seen before. Stores are stocked with a highly curated mix of designer ready-to-wear, contemporary collections, luxury shoes and handbags, fine jewelry, eyewear, and home accents.
