WWOS was founded by our director Yemi Robinson. She is a nurse and has worked in the healthcare sector for 9 years with experience in a wide range of specialities. However, with her years of experience she had to face many difficult scenarios in her career. Her passion for nursing is what fuelled her drive to help create a fairer environment through WWOS. A major catalyst to WWOS being founded was Covid-19 and the death of George Floyd. Covid-19 exposed deep seethed discrimination against black and brown healthcare professionals. George Floyds death showed the whole world that black and brown people are treated the same everywhere and isn’t specific to country or industry. WWOS is an organisation that seeks to bring awareness and education about the disparities in treatment of black and brown healthcare professionals within the healthcare sector. WWOS has created services to empower those that experienced these inequalities. Our partnership with the reputable Law firm, ELS and our educational programs aim to do just this.
