About Wylie ISD Education Foundation

With every student who graduates ready to lead a successful life, our cities and communities are strengthened. Our mission is to help empower every student and educator in Wylie ISD with the resources to reach their full potential. As a volunteer-run organization and as the strategic fundraising collaborator for Wylie ISD, we work together to find and fund the highest-impact investments. We mobilize our community, educators, and Wylie ISD to accelerate progress. We help find the most impactful ways to empower our teachers, fuel engaged learning and discovery, and support students and their families. We are powered by the generosity of our donors and have demonstrated the power of public education and impacted the lives of students across Wylie ISD for more than two decades. Wylie ISD Education Foundation was founded in 2002 to have a long-term and meaningful impact on students through these programs and initiatives. A few revolutionaries in Wylie got together to raise $52,588 and award 14 grants that first year. The Foundation expanded to include Grants for Teachers and eventually all of the programs we have now. Since then, we’ve invested more than $2.3 million in Wylie ISD students and educators. We have worked closely with Wylie ISD to support the continued implementation of these programs and initiatives. As a result of this rich history, Wylie ISD Education Foundation has become recognized as the portal of philanthropy for community investment in Wylie ISD and a critical collaborator to the district for community engagement. Wylie ISD Education Foundation ignites learning by enhancing the education of students in Wylie ISD by investing in proven and promising programs and initiatives. We inspire creative and meaningful ideas while influencing our community to support education in the district.
