About XStream Infection Control UK
The Enemy. Bacteria are Gram+ Positive or Gram-Negative based on reactions to the differential Gram staining technique. Examples of G+: Bacillus, , Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Micrococcus, Listeria and Streptococcus SPP. Examples of G-: Pseudomonas, Escherichia, Legionella, Salmonella, Enterobacter and Helicobacter. Common Household names are, MRSA, MSSA, C-Diff and Sepsis. The Problem Bacteria that cause Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’S or Nosocomial Infections) are attributed to “Antibiotic-Resistant Species” or “The Superbugs". The airborne transmissions of viruses, bacteria, fungal spores, and other bio-aerosols are equally of major concern. The destruction of these Superbugs is critical not only to save lives but also to reduce the costs of ward closures, deep cleaning etc. and costs to treat can run into the £000’s, plus costs to compensate. Infections are the highest risks associated with transplant surgery or joint replacements. Methods for disinfecting beds, tables, chairs, walls, even patients and nurses skin and clothing include hand washing and scrubbing these surfaces, using disinfectants reduces contamination but requires storage and handling of hazardous chemicals. The Solution. XSTREAM employs a proprietary system to convert H2O through its reactor core into powerful Cluster Ions to continually destroy the bugs on contact. XStream Infection Control is the ONLY system that works 24/7/365, is not hazardous to human health and does not use chemicals or lethal gases. Under the direction of Kelly Reynolds, PhD. a scientific testing protocol was developed over 3 years and published for the University of Arizona. The results: 97.61% reduction of airborne bacteria and viruses over six hours. 99.9% reduction of surface bacteria, viruses and b. thurgingiensis (C-diff surrogate) over 6 hours 99.8% reduction of bacteria and viruses on fabric/fomites surfaces. Environment 99.9% clean in 24-48 hours and continually thereafter .
