About Yada UK

Yada is a registered charity working to prevent sexual exploitation across West Sussex through the provision of outreach support services, partnership work and training. We deliver The Esther Project, which is a free, confidential, non-judgemental support service for self-identifying women who have experienced or who are at risk of sexual exploitation through the sex industry. We support women who are advertising sexual services online, women who are selling/exchanging sex to meet basic needs and women who have experienced sexual exploitation/coercion, including survivors of modern slavery. Our outreach work adopts a harm reduction/prevention model, and we use a trauma-informed approach to support women on a 1:1 basis. We offer a tailored approach which might include: - safety planning and risk management - support with practical needs, emotional and mental health and reducing social isolation - support and advocacy accessing other services We work closely with our network of partner organisations, and deliver our series of six well-being workshops in women-only spaces. We deliver training to frontline professionals who support women experiencing multiple disadvantages, raising awareness of the complex issues faced by women in the sex industry, helping to equip staff and to combat issues associated with stigma.
