YAPU Solutions is a social FinTech company based in Berlin, Germany and serving mostly developing countries with software services and accompanying consultancy and applied research activities. Potential clients are: - Microfinance institutions (regulated and non-regulated) and banks - AgriInput providers - Insurance companies - Government initiatives for rural and agri finance and support We focus on strengthening rural economies, especially in the face of climate change and the ongoing degradation of ecosystems, with a focus on the most vulnerable populations: small farmers in developing countries. These populations are the least contributing to man-made climate change, but they are most vulnerable to its adverse effects and the consequent dwindling food security. YAPU Solutions provides a software that enables the digitalization of operational processes focusing on gathering and processing data for decision making, e.g for eligibility or pricing and payment plans of lending products, planning of savings, insurance cover, agricultural input requirements among others. The software is available as a cloud-based Software as a Service, as a stand-alone solution or integrated with existing systems. It consists of a mobile app to gather data in the field and a web-interface to define the data structure of corresponding questionnaires and indicators to be built into the assessment flexibly. YAPU Solutions primarily promotes and enables efficient management of: - sustainable agricultural finance - clean energy and anergy efficiency finance - risk transfer mechanisms - inclusion of sustainability, climate and ecosystem indicators into day-to-day operations We work with local partners in countries of operations and encourage contacts of potential partners on an ongoing basis.
