About Yardstick Services

Founded in 2006, Yardstick Services was originally created to support executives and senior consultants working on specific business development initiatives in and around Vancouver. In his dealings with small and medium-sized companies, Kevin McLeod realized that the web-design industry was not well structured to meet the needs of small business owners and decided to refocus the business. In 2008, the strategy was officially shifted to focusing on small business web design. A flat monthly-rate business model was created which was designed specifically to help small and medium-sized companies get great looking websites at an affordable monthly budget. In 2009, Kevin’s brother, Brendon McLeod was brought on board and the two continue to work together to manage and grow the business. Yardstick Services continues to flourish by working with clients month-over-month at a flat rate instead of an hourly rate or under a fixed contract. We provide as much control and flexibility as possible to our clients. And we pride ourselves on ensuring that our clients have a healthy return on investment in terms of time-saved and/or revenue generated from the various tactics that we manage. Our Purpose We build websites that have a sharp, professional appearance. And we manage an array of online products and services which provide measurable and significant returns on investment for the time and money that our clients invest with us. We build long-term win-win relationships and really get to know our clients as the people that they are and not just a set of requirements within a project.
