About YCC

HELPING BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN JUNIOR TALENT AND THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES SINCE 2008. The YCC started life in 2008 as the Young Creative Council. We were a bunch of bright-eyed junior creatives looking to support people like us who felt the advertising industry was lacking in a visible support network to help us, and others, learn and grow after leaving university. This led us to putting on countless events – from talks and bowling competitions to creative speed-dating events and portfolio nights. We’ve lectured at pretty much every creative uni, and worked with agencies like Mother, R/GA and VCCP; businesses like Framestore, Adobe, Instagram and Google, as well as awards bodies like the IPA, D&AD, Creative Circle and NABS. By day we work in ad agencies, by night we do this. The YCC is ever evolving, and while we’re no longer “young”, we still help junior talent of any age entering the industry.
