Yew Chung International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, non-profit, dual language international school with two campuses in Mountain View, California. Established in 2002, YCIS Silicon Valley serves over 250 students in preschool to grade 8. At YCIS, students grow as confident, compassionate, bilingual critical thinkers with a global perspective. Our Mandarin-English dual language approach and warm, inclusive East-West community ensure students are academically challenged, creatively engaged and grow their hearts as well as their minds. YCIS Silicon Valley is proud to be a part of the YCIS family of international schools, which was founded in 1932 by Madam Tsang Chor-hang in Hong Kong. Under the vision and direction of the founder’s daughter, Dr Betty Chan Po-king, Yew Chung International Schools have grown from a pioneering early childhood program into a worldwide network of international schools serving thousands of nursery through secondary students in Hong Kong, mainland China and Silicon Valley, USA. While each YCIS school is independently operated, all share a common mission and educational philosophy.
