Five years in the making, YDrive has started to commercialise the first autonomous logistics solution, under the brand of MikeT (Mikro Trading). To rapidly commercialise autonomous logistics, YDrive is building the education systems and tools, through RAD (Real Autonomous Driving) Education to inspire, engage and enable learners to implement new and entrepreneurial autonomous solutions. YDrive PTY LTD is a regional NSW SME, and in partnership with our university and corporate partners, we deployed the 1st autonomous vehicles in Newcastle (NSW), and Hobart (Taz). YDrive continues to explore extensive research across all areas of autonomous logistics systems. YDrive will begin trialling autonomous logistics in March 2022. YDrive is removing carbon from logistics, by redefining how local logistics are experienced. The current models move people to fetch stuff. By moving stuff without the people, we substantially reduce the risk and complexity of deploying autonomous logistics safely. By removing people from the vehicle, we will realise the substantial time, and safety benefits. Crucially the substantial carbon wasted on incidental travel will be accounted for, and thereby we will make a meaningful contribution to our collective efforts to slow global warming. 1.5 Degrees in 10 years is the reason we’re enabling every Mikro Logistics business idea. We can stop climate change and empower communities. By licensing Mikro Logistics to SME’s and sole traders, YDrive is seeking to assist local communities to design a Mikro Logistics solution that suits their context and style. YDrive will sell 40 licenses and will start the trials in March 2022, which will lead to these licenses being operational in Sept 2023. We are inspired and thankful for the opportunity to launch this technology at ADVI.
