About Yea & District Memorial Hospital

Yea & District Memorial Hospital (Y&DMH) comprises three key areas, Acute, Residential Aged Care and Community Health. The Acute area has 10 beds and an accident and emergency area. Rosebank Nursing Home and Rosebank Hostel provide the residential aged care service. The nursing home has 10 residents and the hostel 15 residents. Y&DMH also has responsibility for the provision of community health services to the west side of the Murrindindi Shire. Housed in The Grace Bennetts Centre, Community Health has a range of services available including a diabetes educator, dietitian, occupational therapist and a psychologist. Community Health provided speech pathology and counselling services are available in Kinglake. The hospital also facilitates the provision of podiatry, audiology, physiotherapy, pathology collection, sonography, optometry, spirometry, echocardiography and psychology services. Y&DMH has a broad community reach servicing a population of approximately 6,892 from the communities of Yea, Glenburn, Kinglake, Flowerdale and surrounds.
