‘Empowering young Australians to prevent the spread of HIV and other STIs through participation and leadership’ Founded in 2005, YEAH is an Australian youth led health promotion organisation supporting young people to take control of their sexual health through participation and leadership. YEAH’s signature program, Agents of YEAH, provides sexual health peer education, training and support to young people to deliver workshops and promote sexual health through youth events in their local communities. • In 2014 YEAHs team reached over 80,000 young Australian through peer to peer education • YEAH has over 100 active peer educators involved in running our workshops and events. • Volunteer teams are based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth. • YEAH’s holistic approach focuses equally on the science and the social aspects of young people’s sexual health and wellbeing. • We create safe spaces where young people can feel comfortable to ask questions and share what they know about sexual health. • We provide factual information in a youth friendly and inclusive way that ensures young people who identify as same sex attracted or gender diverse are always feel included.
