Yemen Company for Paints and Derivatives Ltd. (YCPD) was established in the year 1981 by the late Mr. Mohamed Ali Noman and his brother the late Mr. Abdul Hameed Ali Noman to manufacture and market all types of decorative paints, putty (liquid & powder), adhesives (liquid & powder), industrial paints and printing inks. And since the time of its establishment, the company has been serving the local market by providing the best quality products and top customer service. Immediately after its inauguration, the company started production and introduced its products under the international brand of CROWN which was under license and technical assistance of Crown Berger Decorative Products Ltd. Darwen, UK. In 1984, YCPD launched its own brand under the name of ATLAS which included a variety of new products to satisfy various customers’ segments. In order to offer customers superior new products with high specifications at competitive prices, the company has striven to stay abreast of global developments in the arena paints and chemical technology throughout its period of operation. This has enabled the company to acquire a high reputation and become widely known as a pioneer of innovation. In this respect the company has introduced new brands to the market. Most renowned among these were GLOBE brand which is mainly developed oil based putty and proved to be the number 1 top selling putty in Yemen. Also in the field of furniture, industrial paints and printing inks, YCPD flourished by introducing the GAMMA brand to cover that segment. Stating that YCPD is the only local company specialized in industrial paints and printing inks.
