About Yesking Records

The brainchild of UK Producers Mark Rae (Rae & Christian) and Rhys Adams, Yesking fuses a melée of styles from hip hop, dancehall, ragga and ska into their own unique brand. Mark & Rhys first collaborated on “Candystripe”. Then again on Mark’s follow-up LP, “Into The Depths”. They paired up again to produce “Two Culture Clash” for Wall of Sound. Finally in 2004, they relocated to Jamaica to record local artists. During these sessions, they were inspired to create ‘Yesking’. The result: a strong London vibe from a blend of old and new live instrumentation, crunchy hiphop/R&B beats and brass melodies. Add the likes of guest vocalists including Ayak, Dawn Penn, Veba, Mystro, Baby Chann, Sweetie Irie, Kenny Knots and Prezident Brown, and you have the unique offering that appeals to fans of hip hop to old skool reggae diehards. Yesking are currently completing their next album ready for next year.
