The YMCA of Greater Omaha, established in 1866, is a 501 C 3 not for profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors with a geographic scope that covers four counties in a two-state area: Douglas and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska; and Mills and Pottawattamie Counties in Iowa. We strengthen communities by focusing on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We provide children and adults alike with a place to exercise, learn and grow and belong. We help children learn healthy habits, learn new skills and guide them to be strong, respectful adults. Adults find in the Y a supportive community to live a healthy lifestyle. Open to all people regardless of ability to pay, we welcome everyone to foster a stronger connection to their community.
