WHO WE ARE: The YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area is the area’s leading nonprofit strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across our area, the Y engages over 15,000 men, women and children – regardless of age, income or background – to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the area’s health and well-being and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Anchored by two main facilities (Downtown Cedar Rapids and Marion), in addition to Camp Wapsie, the Y partners with 38 local nonprofit agencies, while giving back more than $1.2 million per year to give all community members a chance to improve their lives. With over 150 years of operation in the area, the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change. OUR CAUSE: At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.
