About Yo Elijo

We are aware of the challenges experienced by children, youth and families in Colombia: violence, extreme poverty, social stress and external conditions that limit them from an early age on. Since 2019 we have embarked on this path of offering an opportunity to everyone who feel an internal push, to those who say I CHOOSE something different for my life, who want to make a change and need to be supported and sustained in their desire. There is a phrase that we love: “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish and he will eat forever.” This describes the main focus of our project. We empower each person from within. We are sure that someone who feels internal well-being, who trusts in him or herself, sees his or her potential and is happy, will give that to the world and will also have the ability to inspire others with his or her own experience and example.
