About Yo Studios
YO STUDIOS is founded by contemporary dancer, yoga guide, movement lover and mother of 3, Malene Arvin, CEO & Creative Director of YO and her husband, Jacob Balshøj, Financial director of YO. YO opened its first tiny one-room studio in the main street of Aarhus back in 2015. In 2017 YO expanded with the second studio- another one-room studio in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen. With this expansion power woman, mamma, yoga guide and former dancer in the Royal Danish Ballet, Emilie Schack, entered the YO family as Partner & Director of YO CPH. YO’s ambition is to spread the joy of movement wide and to inspire, motivate and help YOU become your own badass movement guide. YO loves movement regardless of form and type, as long as it can help people take care of body and mind. We believe in the power of variety and we encourage you to stay curious, open minded and to keep your habits and limits flexible. In 2018 the Aarhus studio moved to a bigger space with multiple rooms and in 2020, YO opened its third studio, another bigger space studio in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen. The core values of YO, ‘manifested’ by Malene Arvin back in 2015, have up until now and will for the future ahead always be the nerve of YO. This will make sure that the studios will forever continue to be your safe, inspiring and loved movement home. YO is here to MOVE you!
