Founded in late 2020, the dojo has now become one of the most important and most active in the prefecture, with participations in regional and national events such as the 18th Kanagawa Demonstration, the "UNIVERSAL BUDO FESTIVAL" part of the 2020 Olympic Program, the 59th and 60th All Japan Aikido Demonstration... Aikido classes in Yokohama. Everybody welcome, beginners and advanced, from 6 years-old to adults. Dojo officially recognized by the Aikikai Foundation. WEDNESDAYS - Open to Adults & Youths (14 yrs old and up) 17:00 - 18:00 FRIDAYS - Saint Maur Students Only 15:30 - 16:30 Children Grade 2 to Grade 5 SATURDAYS - Open to All 10:00 - 11:00 Children (6 to 13 yrs old) & Parents OK! 11:10 - 12:10 Adults & Youths (14 yrs old and up) Aikido is a Japanese martial art created in the 1920’s by Morihei Ueshiba, one of the most prominent martial artists of his time. It is performed by blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting his force rather than opposing it head-on. Consistent with this core principle, Aikido has no competition and its goal is to refine one’s mind and body through diligent training and cooperation.
