YO LAB is a medical training and education lab located in Youngstown, Ohio that provides a cost-effective solution for developing and perfecting surgical skills and conducting medical device development, testing and evaluation. With advanced technology, practitioners across the city or globe can watch and interact via live video stream. YO LAB offers doctors, students and medical professionals a convenient and state-of-the-art learning environment. Located in northeast Ohio, halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, YO LAB is 20 minutes outside Youngstown with overnight accommodations just a few minutes away. YO LAB was designed specifically for use: • by surgeons in all specialties • in continuing education (CME credits) by for-profit and non-profit organizations to offer training and education • research and testing of pre-FDA medical devices • video recording of various medical procedures • hosting meetings and journal clubs • training of staff on various devices • training of sales representatives • demonstrating the proper use of new devices to company personnel and medical professionals Lab Facility Features • 3,500 square feet of total facility space • 1,000 square feet of laboratory space • multi-station web bioskill lab training area • lead instructor station with multimedia broadcast capabilities • c-arm • complete tissue sourcing, preparation, storage and disposition • allows for use of whole, fresh-frozen cadavers • secure access facility • ground-level loading and instrument/equipment storage area • surgical technicians on-site for support during your lab • PPE and scrubs available • source most needs for tissue, equipment and instrumentation (equipment needs based on approximate 30-day lead time) • flexible hours available to accommodate after hours learning
