ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION: York County Economic Development is the core organization responsible for retaining and cultivating business and industry in York County. We help to create and support a business-friendly environment that welcomes new corporations as well as encourages the growth and sustainability of our existing industries. OUR SERVICES: • Relocation assistance and tax incentives • Maintaining and developing an inventory of available buildings and sites • Demographic and market research • Utility information requests • Workforce training assistance • Familiarization tours and site visits • Existing industry retention and expansion services • Coordinating local, state and private economic development efforts ABOUT US: Our department, governed by the York County Council, is supported by a 17-member Economic Development Board. We also receive funding from Growth Partners, local private-sector supporters. We are members of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and the South Carolina I-77 Alliance, collaborating with partners like the SC Department of Commerce, local municipalities, utility providers, and area chambers of commerce.
