About York Pride

York Pride is a dynamic not-for-profit organization dedicated to curating vibrant social events across York Region, including one of Canada’s fastest-growing regional Pride festivals held annually in June. Our programming spans 360 days a year, celebrating and uplifting the diverse identities of our Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning (2SLGBTQ+) community. Driven by a deep commitment to inclusivity and unity, York Pride operates entirely through the dedication of passionate volunteers. We proudly collaborate with respected local organizations, including Care and Community Connections (CAYR), Family Services York Region, PFLAG Canada York Region, York Region District School Board, York Region Youth Collective, York Region LGBT Networking Group, and York Regional Police. Together, we strive to support our region’s 1.2 million residents—including over 120,000 2SLGBTQ+ individuals—by fostering safe spaces, meaningful connections, and impactful experiences that empower and celebrate our community. Committed to fostering inclusivity and unity, our organization operates exclusively through the dedication of passionate volunteers. Together with representatives from respected local community organizations, including Care and Community Connections (CAYR), Family Services York Region, GayYorkRegion.com, PFLAG Canada York Region, York Region District School Board, York Region Youth Collective, York Region LGBT Networking Group, and York Regional Police, we work to support our growing community 1.2 million population and our 120,000+ 2SLGBTQ+ residents. Together, we work tirelessly to create safe, welcoming spaces and memorable experiences that embrace and empower our diverse 2SLGBTQ+ community.
