You Bedazzle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing joy, confidence, and self-expression to children battling cancer by providing bedazzled headbands and hats. Our work focuses on helping children maintain their identity and self-esteem as they experience hair loss due to treatment, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and empowered during their journey. We collaborate with child life specialists at all children’s hospitals in Wisconsin and are now expanding to children’s hospitals in Minnesota to distribute our headbands and hats at no cost to children and their families. What makes You Bedazzle unique is that each child gets to choose their own headband or hat, creating a personalized and empowering experience. This simple yet meaningful gift helps children feel more like themselves and regain a sense of normalcy during treatment. As hospitals increasingly focus on the whole wellness of the child, including emotional and mental well-being, You Bedazzle plays a vital role in providing children with a way to express themselves. In addition to our hospital partnerships, we work with organizations like Make-A-Wish Green Bay, where we have sponsored headbands and hats for wish recipients at their Gourmet Wishes Dinner. With high demand from hospitals and overwhelmingly positive feedback from families, our goal is to expand our reach to serve more children in additional hospitals and pediatric cancer centers.
