About Young Democrats of South Carolina

The Young Democrats of South Carolina is the governing body of all Young Democrats organizations within the State of South Carolina, a chartered member of the Young Democrats of America (YDA). YDSC often works with the South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP), the South Carolina High School Democrats (SCHSD), and the College Democrats of South Carolina (CDSC) to reach our Party's and organizations' mutual goals. YDSC works aggressively to encourage voters under the age of 40 to actively participate in the democratic process and in Democratic Party politics by educating young voters on the core values and principles of the Democratic Party. Our mission is to unite and educate the lives, minds, and practices of youth voters and serve collectively as the political youth voice of South Carolina. YDSC is committed to growing voter turnout from ages 18-39, to general Democratic Party development, and youth civic involvement at the county, state, and national levels.
