About Young Futures

Young Futures’ vision is to bring potential to life by helping children and young people in care move towards practical, financial, social, and emotional independence and a happier and more fulfilling future. Our primary aim is to help children and young people to develop the ability to create and sustain safe, meaningful, and trusting relationships, equipping them with essential interpersonal skills and preparing them for independent living in the community. For all children and young people placed with us, we aim to achieve the following outcomes towards their growth and development: • Be safe and develop the social and emotional skills which will ensure future safety. • Be able to express their thoughts, wishes and feelings. • Have a positive experience of being supported and cared for in a homely living environment. • Enjoy sports, culture, and arts, and develop interests and hobbies. • Become healthier, physically and mentally. • Develop positive, safe, and appropriate relationships. • Develop a positive sense of self and resilience to cope with everyday situations. • Achieve their educational potential and progress on pathways towards employment. • Develop practical and independent living skills.
