About Young Thinkers of York
Young Thinkers of York introduces robotics and engineering to students of all ages as a way to get students excited about learning again, particularly the underserved students in the City of York. Like other urban cities across America, the City of York has been struggling with an unfortunate educational divide and we’re trying to create ways to close that gap. Our goal is to be part of the solution to solve several social issues that have stricken the city and we’re doing this through education. We help guide our students in pursuing skilled careers and becoming leaders in the community. We’re not trying to create only future engineers and scientists, but also a workforce that can work together as a team, think creatively, and produce solutions to problems. Robotics is simply used as an educational tool to help engage our students to develop these transferable life skills. Through education and exposure to new experiences, our STEM programs will expand our young people's minds and allow them to follow their dreams. Young Thinkers of York is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and operated by 100% volunteers.
