About YoungShip International

YoungShip is a professional non-profit organisation for young people working within the global maritime industry. The international YoungShip network today counts around 5000 members. Founded in Norway in 2004, the initiative spread quickly to other maritime hubs. The global YoungShip network is now present in some of the largest cities around the world. We started with a clear vision "YoungShip shall promote competence and network development, and promote young professionals in the global maritime industry" and this still holds true today. YoungShip provides a platform that allows all our members to build a broader understanding of the industry. In turn these are tools that will provide the industry with strong motivated generation of young professionals in the years to come. We also have a particular focus on promoting young entrepreneurs working on environmental challenges, social responsibility and innovation in green technology. Being part of the YoungShip family will help all those involved build their network and provide opportunities to progress in their careers. YoungShip takes an active role to help promote young leaders of the future, encourage companies to go the extra mile in training, persuade companies to focus on promoting young professionals and to drive forward its young talent.
