We are celebrity and influencer moms banding together to focus on ensuring all children have access to the resources needed to be mentally well. From long-term partnerships to short-term needs to our own initiatives, we are working to remove the stigma surrounding kids mental health. We do this by creating and funding innovative, cutting-edge programs and solutions which have a direct impact on children and adolescents. YourMomCares and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (UPMC) are revolutionizing the approach to behavioral health through an interactive mobile tool that motivates youth to learn and practice new coping skills. Embedded in a health care system and linked to an individual medical record, this tool provides in-the-moment techniques that are available right on kids’ smartphones and are monitored by medical professionals. In 2019 YourMomCares committed to funding a $500,000 pilot program of this ground-breaking approach for 500 patients. Following the pilot, YMC will work with UPMC to share the findings of their research and transform the conversation around making digital behavioral tools accessible to all children across the country RESULTS As of August 2020, approximately 300 adolescents have been prescribed the app and we are on track to hit 500 users by December 2020. Early data is proving our hypotheses about the efficacy of this tool. The first 100 patients showed... 73% improvement in anxiety 57% improvement in depression 7.5 = mean number of techniques/tools completed in the app 36% increase in providers offering this digital behavioral tool to patients after the COVID-19 crisis began.
