About Youth Climate Council Queensland

Youth Climate Council (YCC) Queensland strives to fight against climate change through advocating for environmental policy changes. Our platform is designed to represent young Queenslanders’ views on climate change, giving a platform for the generation most affected by climate change to ensure our voices are heard. Through drafting amendments and encouraging discussion in our youth members, we form the three foundations at the core of the YCC: Youth Voice, Climate Action and Cooperation - we grant our members a voice to speak up about their views on climate change and how we could solve climate-related problems with a cooperative, community-based execution. Not only do we work together to guide each other towards real (and necessary) action to save the environment, we are also determined to positively impact the community around us, through park clean-ups, fundraisers, and more. Fundamentally, we believe that the small positive changes we can make, little by little, will lead to a better future, for us all.
