It’s what’s called the Spirit of the Games and it will come alive every year when the YWG take place. OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE > Connect young athletes from all corners of the world through sport. The unique atmosphere of the YWG creates unforgettable memories among all participants. The enjoyment of sport and an open minded approach towards other cultures are the two main elements of the YWG. The YWG will be an annual event and it will held every year in a different city / region in Europe. Facts | YOUTH WORLD GAMES: >11 sports, over 4000 athletes, hundreds of games… one multi-sport international tournament and festival! >The YWG isn’t all about scoreboards and medals. > Large scale international sports festival for teams from around the world to take part; > Thousands of young athletes from more than 20 different nations; > Athletics, Basketball, Field Hockey, Football (Soccer), Handball, Netball, Rugby (XV-a-Side), Sailing, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball; > 03 x days minimum packed with sports, fun and sightseeing. Extra days and hotel nights, extra games, extra excursions can be added on request; > First class facilities and venues available and will be used in all eleven sports disciplines tournaments; > Event will be held in the south of Portugal, in the Algarve, a region famous for its great weather and beaches but also for the first class sports venues available; > Easy accessible from most countries by road or air transportation (Faro Algarve International Airport).
