Currently, YTL Construction, is the main local subcontractors that are heading the construction works of the nation’s biggest railway track project which is the Electrified Double Track Gemas-Johor Bahru Rail Project. (EDTPGJB). The EDTPGJB is a project under the Malaysian Ministry of Transport that will complement the current Electrified Train Service (ETS) that runs from Padang Besar in the north of Peninsular Malaysia to Gemas. The EDTP project will begin in Gemas and will cover 4 main districts in Johor which are Segamat, Kluang, Kulai and Johor Bahru, ending at JB Sentral.
