Zali is a manufacturer of luxury backgammon sets, distinguished by detail-oriented design and exceptional craftsmanship. Each handmade piece is the result of collaboration with five artisan ateliers – from furniture makers to jewelers. The story of Zali began when Zalina Bilaonova, then a leather accessories maker, received an unexpected custom order from a discerning backgammon lover who was looking for a unique addition to his collection. As she crafted her first set, Zalina immersed herself in the tastes and rituals of demanding players, and quickly fell in love with the game. This passion gave birth to Zali, a brand dedicated to bringing chic appeal to classic board games. Zali backgammon cases are exceptionally lightweight and refined. Crafted from premium wood and covered in the finest Italian calf leather, each case features a clean, minimalist façade, while the 24k gold-plated hardware adds a subtle touch of opulence. The playing surface is adorned with a hand-drawn design by Zalina Bilaonova. The delicate yet weighty checkers are designed to provide a satisfying tactile experience, ensuring that every movement becomes a moment of pleasure.
