About Zausmer-Frisch, Scruton & Aggarwal
Zausmer-Frisch Associates, Inc. was founded in 1971 by partners Garson Zausmer and Robert Frisch. In 1993, architect Raymond Scruton and interior designer Sheila Aggarwal became partners, and the firm name was changed to Zausmer-Frisch Scruton & Aggarwal, Inc. Since its inception, our firm has completed the planning of over 200 million square feet of commercial and multi-family housing space. Our sixteen employee firm is made up of two divisions. The design division is composed of architects, interior designers, CAD drafters, and support personnel. The second division is a full-service general contracting firm with construction estimators, project managers, and field staff. This marriage of design and construction greatly benefits our clients. Our architectural staff knows how projects are constructed so our drawings reflect realistic design solutions and construction techniques. With our in-house construction cost estimating capability, we keep the architectural design and budget on a parallel course. Zausmer-Frisch Scruton & Aggarwal has provided both design/build, and design-only services to our clients. The majority of the projects our firm constructs, it also designs. However, some of ZFSA’s clients are contractors, developers, and organizations that provide their own construction. Our projects have included medical, banking, hospitality, food service, corporate, industrial, retail, fitness, and multi-family housing, among others. Projects have included renovations to existing facilities as well as out-of-the-ground new buildings. The majority of our work is centered around Upstate New York, although we have clients as far away as Florida. ZFSA has the ability to provide every aspect of project planning from initial concept development through actual construction. We take great pride in the design of each project. Our firm has a reputation for creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet budget and schedule goals.
