We’re ZAY, the socially conscious bag retailer with a heart for the earth and the families of Myanmar. Our brand is known for epically beautiful, wildly colourful hand-woven bags. Our story, foundations and path in the retail space is one of mindfulness and kindness – making the journey of ZAY truly unique. Our bags travel a mindful journey, always. From meeting with families of weavers and ensuring they're paid fairly and honestly, to choosing materials that are strong and durable, we give customers an item that can be used knowing it came from a truly ethical beginning. ZAY is kind to the earth; hand-picked by founder, Nicola, the tape used is accessible and familiar to the weavers, and made from up-cycled plastic or rattan whenever possible. Colour pops from the streets of Myanmar and the weavers homes, into the intricate designs of each bag. Beyond the beautiful colours lie a bag that can be used over and over; from the beach, to the markets, to the supermarket, you’ll find yourself reaching for your ZAY bag each and every day.
