By efficiently detecting infections earlier, targeted treatment can be offered to patients sooner - not only decreasing the burden on healthcare systems, but ultimately leading to many lives saved. At Zendia, we offer innovative solutions for global health problems. One major global health problem is malaria, which is a life-threatening disease caused by Plasmodium parasites. Malaria is one of the most severe public health problems worldwide, and is a leading cause of disease and death in many developing countries. Nevertheless, the severity of malaria can be reduced and death can be prevented when diagnosed and treated in time. At Zendia, we specialize in malaria diagnosis with a focus on detecting Plasmodium falciparum parasites. Current diagnostic tests for malaria fail to offer a universal approach. At Zendia, our mission is to change that with our innovative diagnostic platform InfectoTest. With only 10 minutes of time, a drop of blood and an enrichment strategy, Infectotest provides quantitative single cell detection, revealing quick and easy patient infection status in real-time.
