About Zenegeist

Founded in 2013, Zenegeist has been a cornerstone of Hong Kong’s independent music scene, hosting diverse and dynamic performances. What began with our inaugural 4th Anniversary Show has evolved into a sustained commitment to nurturing local talent while bringing international acts to Hong Kong’s vibrant music stage. As a music promoter, Zenegeist has organised gigs featuring some of the city’s most promising indie bands, showcasing the creative pulse of Hong Kong’s music landscape. Beyond fostering local talent, we’ve expanded our reach to feature renowned international and regional acts, including Taiwanese bands such as Sunset Rollercoaster, Japanese artists like betcover!!, as well as acclaimed international groups like Cloud Nothings. Post-pandemic, the music industry experienced a revival, and Zenegeist embraced the momentum by diversifying the genres and scale of our events. In 2023, we proudly collaborated with Airhead Records to co-host a two-day live performance at MacPherson Stadium for the world tour of deca joins, reinforcing our role as a bridge between global artists and Hong Kong’s music enthusiasts. From indie gigs to international collaborations, Zenegeist continues to shape the local music scene, providing a platform for artists across genres and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences in Hong Kong.
