About Zia Pia

Zia Pia is a boutique importer of fine artisan Italian foods. Our suppliers are non-industrial, typically small, family-owned producers who have been using the same, traditional methods for centuries. Named for Aunt, or “Zia”, Pia Custodi in Orvieto, Italy, as extraordinary a person as she was a cook, and who took great care in her selection of ingredients, we aim to embody the traditional values and old-world techniques she held dear: simplicity, care and quality of ingredients. It is with these values in mind that we set forth to make available those pure, unadulterated, and sometimes difficult to find ingredients to all who appreciate them here in the US. These are Italy’s best foods from exceptional suppliers. Think artisanal, durum wheat semolina pastas, authentic egg pasta from Campofilone, tomatoes grown under the Pugliese sun, carnaroli rice fed with water from the Alps, organic artisanal chocolate from Modica, extra virgin olive oils from Puglia, balsamic vinegars from Modena, herbs and spreads from Pantelleria... and much more.
