About Žito Grupa
Žito Group is the leading trade and agriculture company in the eastern part of Croatia. It was founded in 1992 and employs over 1.500 workers today. The company has complete production traceability and its own resources along the entire supply chain. We grow cereals and oilseeds on our own fields, and use them as the basic raw material for our industries - production of 'Tena' edible oil; DOBRO dry-meat products, and 'Vitalka' animal feed. Our own storage facilities with the capacity of 300.000 tons allow us to maintain the high quality of grains and oilseeds. Farming is one of the most important activities of the Group. Our farming capacities consist of 10 pig farms (production of 175,000 pigs per year), 3 dairy farms and 5 farms for cattle fattening. Žito is also the largest egg producer in Croatia with an annual production of 130 million eggs. Žito Group industry plants include edible oil factory, seed processing plant, animal feed factory, biogas production plants and meat production plants. Fresh meat from our own farms is the basic material for the Žito meat industry plants, which have yearly production capacity of 150.000 pieces of prosciutto, 1.400 tons of cured salamis and 1.250 tons of other durable meat products. Žito meat products are placed on the market under the brands DOBRO and Adria D'Oro.
