Zorya Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 88-1567175) dedicated to building a stronger, more resilient American healthcare workforce by removing one of the biggest barriers women in healthcare face: the cost of childcare. With women making up 80% of the healthcare workforce, and many balancing demanding careers with caregiving responsibilities, too many are being forced to reduce hours or leave the profession altogether. This loss doesn’t just affect families, it weakens our healthcare system at a time when we need it most. What we do: - Provide direct cash childcare grants to women working in healthcare. - Partner with employers, health systems, and funders to sustain workforce participation. - Prove out the impact of childcare support on workforce retention, equity, and patient care. Our impact so far: - $300k+ awarded in childcare assistance. - Hundreds of women supported, many working in safety-net clinics serving vulnerable populations. - Grants that keep healthcare workers in their jobs, reducing burnout and turnover while improving patient access to care. Why it matters: When women can stay in healthcare worker jobs, communities benefit. Patients receive consistent, quality care. Families thrive.
