About 1 Year 2 Fit
This was a big year, I turned 50 in August. I haven’t felt for some time that the work I was doing was meeting my needs. Not financially, as I was paid well. I wondered at the end of the day, “Am I making a difference? Does my work matter? Why isn’t there any of “ME” left at the end of the day? Am I simply here to work-sleep-repeat?” So I dedicated this year to finding out what it is that drives me. What passions can I share that motivate me, that I can share with others? The further along my path to physical fitness and improved health I went, the more I felt called to start a new chapter. I decided I would become a personal trainer. I took the NASM Certified Personal Trainer course in my spare time. Mastering the course was hard and now I am now a Certified Trainer. I am currently adding weight loss and nutrition specializations to this certification. Recently, I made the decision to trust God and leave my job and security with The Cheesecake Factory to make a lasting contribution to the physical fitness and lives of as many people as possible. While talking with my trainers about becoming a CG trainer, I was encouraged to share my knowledge of food, my personal journey to fitness and my passion for helping others. I will be holding interactive classroom style events teaching others how to reset their physical fitness, master their relationship with food, eat to increase energy, and improve over all health in the process. I have traded in my chef coats for sweat shirts. I am excited to see what the year ahead brings.
