A D Holmes and Co is an independent firm offering both personal and business accountancy and taxation services. We invest 100% of our time and energy into delivering first-class service to our customers. Always looking to build our business, we have found that the best source of advertising is satisfied clients. Our offices are in the beautiful estuary town of Topsham in Devon, although our client base spans all way up to Edinburgh. We also have clients who are based in France, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Dubai, Thailand and the USA. The firm was founded in 1998 following a successful management buyout by Adina Holmes, from Ernst and Young of the small business/farming department. The majority of the current staff had their training at Ernst and Young and we are therefore unique in being able to combine the training provided by an international firm with the client service and attention to detail which you can only find in a small, independent practice. We also have strong links with the local community and participate in local events where possible. Every year we enter a team in the CIOT quiz night which raises money for ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund) and this year, we will also be entering a team in the 'Race for Life' in July which is held in aid of Cancer Research UK. Adina is also a Trustee of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and gives much of her time to attending meetings and fundraising events for this very worthwhile cause.
