The AJT was born at the end of 1997 from th two French associations of journalists: the APJT (Professional Association of Tourism Journalists) and the AJP (Association of Outdoor Journalists). The new association brings together around 200 federated journalists according to two criteria: all are professional journalists, exercising a regular activity in the column of tourism. The journalists who are members of the association represent the diversity of the profession: written press for the general public, economics, professionals, specialists, but also radio, television and the Internet.
