18 years ago, Al-Ayn (Iraq) was established with the purpose of addressing the often-harsh living conditions faced by orphaned children and their families. Today, Al-Ayn (Iraq) serves over 99,000 orphaned children living in poverty. Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation (USA) works in collaboration with Al-Ayn (Iraq) to give orphaned children the tools they need to fulfill their potential at each stage of their lives. The unrivaled grassroots support in cities and villages across Iraq as well as the overwhelming international support has enabled Al-Ayn (Iraq) to continue to reach out to even more orphaned children in need. Tragically, many children are being orphaned every day in Iraq, Afghanistan and Ghana, with thousands still awaiting help. We believe that every orphaned child living in poverty ought to be given an opportunity to not only survive their difficult circumstances, but to thrive despite them. That is why alongside essential monthly financial aid, each child sponsored through Al-Ayn is provided with access to psychological rehabilitation, medical care, educational support, personal development, vocational training, and housing.
