About Alta Community Enrichment
Alta Community Enrichment (ACE) is an arts, cultural events and educational 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the Alta/Snowbird community. ACE offers year-round programming in our stimulating mountain environment. The events are varied and include the Wildflower and Snowflake Festivals, Welcome to Winter Slide Show, Alta Life and Times Series, Local Music Series, Local Artist Shows, Avalanche Awareness Workshops, Children's Art in the Mountains, and Puppet Shows, to name a few. We have monthly yoga classes and art classes as well. Many of our events are inspired by input from local artists and families. ACE highlights local artists and educators from Alta and the Salt Lake Valley. We work closely with the Utah Avalanche Center, Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, US Forest Service, the Town of Alta, Alta Historical Society and Friends of Alta. We also interact with Alta's one room public school, establishing new programming that will help further enrich the lives of our local children. ACE has been the recipient of numerous grants including the National Endowment for the Arts, Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Fund, and the 2002 Salt Lake Cultural Olympics. Additional Funding is received from the generous contributions of community members, foundations, and in-kind donations.
