About Ascento Learning and Development
In 2015 we changed the way we worked, we recognised that there was an issue not only with the way apprenticeships were delivered as a whole but the way in which they were perceived by both employers and apprentices alike. Apprenticeships back then were not about teaching new skills knowledge and behaviours to improve and support an apprentice they were essentially box ticking exercises that added little demonstrable value to the employer or the apprentice. We made the decision to no longer offer a range of apprenticeships to employers and learners across a variety of subject areas and decided to create two schools that would focus on two distinct areas; Leadership & Management and Digital Marketing with these schools offering just three qualifications Level 3 CMI and Level 5 CMI in Management and a Level 3 in Digital Marketing. By changing the business model and having just two subject areas to focus on we could now truly specialise in these areas and devote the time and resources to ensuring that our programmes would be best in class and delivered by individuals with industry backgrounds who could offer specialist and real world knowledge whilst providing valuable mentoring and support to students to aid their development and add value to themselves and their employers. Although the range of qualifications we now offer has risen from three to five the two specialist schools remain the same. We are deeply passionate and committed throughout the whole business about delivering class leading apprenticeship programmes to our learners and employers.
