Ashton Corporation was founded in 1987 to pursue, as a principal, the leveraged acquisition of small to mid-size companies. In its 33 years, the firm and its management, partners and predecessor companies have acquired over 50 entities between operational companies in a variety of industries and real estate properties. Several of these companies have been very successfully sold while others have become long-term portfolio companies. In 2000 Ashton Corporation changed its name to Ashton Capital Corporation to reflect its expanded focus to Real Estate investments, with a strategic emphasis on a balanced portfolio of selected properties and portfolio companies. Ashton Capital Corporation doing business as Ashton Capital seeks to work with managers of companies who want an experienced financial partner to negotiate structure, finance and close a transaction, as well as to help build the company for the future. The principal and management team of Ashton Capital work closely with portfolio companies at the Board of Directors’ level in such areas as strategy formulation, productivity improvements, product line growth, strategic acquisitions, financing growth and recruiting additional management. Ashton Capital takes a long-term view in its investment and strategic planning.
