About Atlas Sign & Awning Company
Manufacturing Capabilities: Awning Fabrication, Design, Neon Shop, CNC Router Table, Spray Booth, Metal Fabrication, Vacuum Forming Machine, Fabric Shop with Dielectric Welder, Vinyl Cutting (and Digital Sign Printing) Delivery & Installation. (Atlas is ETL Certified) We are a owner operated company. Atlas was originally established in 1978 by the Sheppard family as an awning company in a little shop in Surrey BC, but because of client demand for full exterior sign packages, started manufacturing signs in 1980. The current owners, who were key employees at the time, purchased the company in 1992. They knew Atlas’ strengths and had a keen desire to grow the company. Doug Sheppard, one of the current owners, is a relative of the founding owner and maintains the Sheppard family linage. Atlas moved from Surrey to its current location in Langley BC in 2005, purchasing a 40,000 Square foot facility which allowed the company to grow exponentially, and purchase state of the art manufacturing equipment. Atlas designs, produces, and installs signage across Canada and the western United States. In 2008, Atlas was recognized in the “100 fastest growing companies in BC”
