About Austin Learning Center
Austin Learning Center has been helping students reach their academic goals since 2004. Owner Becky Fliss began tutoring at the age of twelve and has been tutoring and teaching students ever since. It was from a love of teaching and a desire to help others that Austin Learning Center was formed. Austin Learning Center began as an academic tutoring center and now provides a comprehensive range of educational services. Our business has grown almost exclusively by word-of-mouth from parents and students who share their positive experiences and results with friends. We also receive many referrals from teachers and professors, therapists, college consultants, and guidance or academic counselors who have seen our programs work. While we continue to grow, we are committed to maintaining the personal attention to each student that has made us thrive since our inception. Austin Learning Center opened its first location in Westlake Hills in 2004. After experiencing an increased demand for expanded services for college students and adults, we opened our second location near the University of Texas at Austin campus in 2011. In order to meet evolving client needs, we now also offer on-line tutoring to clients nationwide. Services provided by Austin Learning Center include academic tutoring for students in K-12 and college level courses; test prep tutoring for the ISEE, SSAT, ACT, SAT, and GRE; achievement test administration for schools and individuals; exam proctoring for distance learners; study skills tutoring; college planning and application essay support; home school support; and title 1/title 3 programming for area schools.
